eBooks have copyright restrictions on them just like printed materials. Sometimes this means that there is a limit to the number of people who can view or download an eBook at a given time.

Most of our eBooks have multi-user licenses, meaning that an unlimited number of people can view them at one time. However, some are limited to one or three users at a time.

If you open an eBook and see a message that the book is in use, you will need to try to open the book again at another time. We recommend downloading the eBook to your computer so that others will be able to access the limited user eBooks in a timely manner.

You can find further information regarding accessing e-Books in our collection on the eBook Navigation LibGuide.
